School background

Tushikamane secondary school was initially started in 2007  within the structures of the former Tushikamane Vocational Training College as a public school to serve the students in Morogoro municipal who had qualification to join secondary education but were not recruited in public schools  due to shortage of classrooms. In 2008 the school was shifted from kilakala  to Lukobe ward, and its purpose was changed by becoming a ward  school for serving qualified students for secondary education  from primary schools within Sabasaba ward. The school started with 120 students (60boys and 60girls).  Also the school had 9teachers (3male and 6female).  Florah Masoy is the first head of school.

Tushikamane Secondary school is allocated 13 kilometers west of Morogoro municipal centre, about 3kilometers off the Dodoma high way. Tushikamane is the community school that provides ordinary secondary education for science and art subjects.
